TE is in good health, active outdoors and of AmerIndian descent, with well tanned skin. TE has experienced mild to moderate acne with inflamed pustules, generally confined to the forehead, throughout his adult life. The condition is exacerbated by stress.

TE has used Accutane and oral tetracycline, each for one year without effect. TE has used Proactiv and several herbal remedies, also without effect.

The face was treated with the standard phototherapy regimen. No additional acne specific treatments were performed.

Lesions and small pimples were almost fully resolved after treatment. Hyper-pigmentation and acne scarring is lessened. New hyper-pigmentation did not appear under treated lesions. TE reported a fresh outbreak after a family funeral, but the outbreak was less extensive than usual.

After two months, TE reports that fresh outbreaks are minor and restricted to the temples.
