AM is
a 15 year old female in generally good health, of Caucasian descent.
She had severe inflammatory acne on the whole face and upper back.
Some pitting had occurred, but there is no associated hyper-pigmentation.
The face was treated with standard phototherapy regimen and the back
was untreated.

This
subject is prone to acne flares and acne cysts coupled to her menstrual
cycle. There is reduction of acne lesions and significant healing
on the forehead and cheeks. Inflammation and swelling was greatly
reduced under the subject’s right eye. The back remained severely
involved throughout the treatment period. Extended treatment periods
may be useful for these cases.
